“Empowering children to Step Up & Reach Out in order to achieve their Personal Best”

Curriculum

Learning at Queenspark

The New Zealand curriculum provides for flexibility, enabling schools and teachers to design programmes that are appropriate to the needs of their students. The New Zealand curriculum encourages students to become independent life-long learners. The school curriculum will foster the development of the knowledge, understanding, skills, and attitudes that will empower students to take responsibility for the own learning and behaviour.

The Queenspark Curriculum defines our vision ( “Empowering children to Step Up and Reach Out in order to Achieve their Personal Best”), principles, values and beliefs for learning at Queenspark School. It is guided by the framework of the NZ Curriculum and is our ‘localised statement’ of how we will endeavour to meet the educational needs of the children at Queenspark School.
