Queenspark
School will host two psychologists -
Katrina Falconer-Beach and Kathryn Galleher, from Christchurch Community Mental
Health Service. They will be at Queenspark school on Tuesday 16th, 23rd and
30th August; and Tuesday 6th and 13th September – from 9am to 10:30 am.
They
are offering five discussion-support sessions for parents and caregivers in our
Parklands and east Christchurch communities.
Session 1: Helping your child cope with
anxiety and trauma.
Session 2: Helping your child (and the
family) cope with long term effects of anxiety, such as low mood, stress and
anger.
Session 3, 4 and 5: What causes
behaviour problems (in general) and how to work on them.
There
is no cost. Just come along to the school hall.
